Back in the 2015-16 Season, Leicester won the English Premier League title much to the surprise of many tipsters as their highest position prior to that was 2nd in 1928-29.
Fast forward to 2025 after ears of the league being dominated by Manchester City who won the treble last season and Nottingham Forest find themselves 2nd in the league and just 6 points behind Liverpool with only 18 games to go.
A 1-1 draw after taking the lead last night further widened the eyes of Premier League fans and talk of can they do it became a lot more realistic.
A lot will depend on the January transfer window as rumours swirl about exits and new signings already, their league position will be a huge factor on any player that’s considering a move away or into the club though.
The Nuno Factor
Nuno Espirito Santo has worked miracles since arriving at Forest who at the time of writing are now unbeaten in 7 matches and just drew 1-1 last night with Liverpool.
With 18 games left Forest can certainly stake a claim if their current form continues, Liverpool have been in this position many times before and slipped at the final hurdle Forest will breath down their necks all the way.
Nuno has been playing down Nottingham Forests chances of late but surely at some point even he will begin to believe?
The lack of European fixtures and injuries Forest have has helped them a lot, They’ve only lost four times this season, away at Arsenal and Man City and home to Newcastle and Fulham, and they’re the only team in the Premier League who’ve managed to beat Liverpool this season.
Odds Slashed
Before the season started Nottingham Forest where a whopping 500/1 to win the league pre season, odds which have now been slashed all the way down to 50/1 and they are only 11/4 to get a top four finish!
Bookmakers are running scared on Forest strong form and you cant help but think if they can string together another good 5 games or so those odds will be reduced even further.
Whether they can pull of a shock win like Leicester did remains to be seen, but with the current state of play it is very possible.

With Chris Wood arguably in the form of his life with 12 goals this season he has the second best goal to shot ration in the league, he himself was 66/1 to be top scorer in the Premier League pre season yet stands at 25/1 odds with a few bookmakers just now.

I would certainly have a few quid on Forest to win the league at 50/1 like I said if they can string together a few more good performances the 50/1 will possibly become 25/1 then 10/1 then start to get very short, you already missed the 500/1 boat, don’t miss the 50/1 each way boat too!
